Ways to Get Involved

We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities based on your interests, skills, and availability.

Patient Companion Volunteers

Spend time with patients through conversation, reading, listening to music, playing games, or simply offering a calm and comforting presence. These visits provide companionship and reduce feelings of loneliness.

Healing Arts Volunteers

Share your creative gifts through music, art, writing, meditation, or other calming activities. These meaningful moments can bring peace, relaxation, and emotional comfort to patients and families.

Pet Therapy Volunteers

Bring joy and comfort through certified therapy animals. Pet visits often help reduce stress, lift spirits, and create warm, memorable moments for patients and caregivers.

Administrative & Office Volunteers

Support our care team behind the scenes with office tasks such as phone calls, mailings, filing, event preparation, and other important administrative support that helps our daily operations run smoothly.

Bereavement Support Volunteers

Offer compassionate follow-up support to families through phone calls, sympathy cards, and check-ins as they navigate the grieving and healing process after loss.

Volunteering with Blue Summit Hospice & Palliative Care is a deeply meaningful experience. Many volunteers find purpose in building relationships, offering comfort, and being part of a care team that values dignity, compassion, and human connection.

If you are looking for a meaningful way to make a difference, share your time, and support individuals and families during an important stage of life, we invite you to join our volunteer team.

Together, we can bring comfort, dignity, and support to those who need it most.
